The Phase 1 Gap Analysis identified a need to complete further research into seven broad areas. Consultants were engaged to complete these work packages in collaboration with Council staff.
Economic Solutions Ltd was engaged to complete an assessment of demographic and economic projections, as well as looking at retirement sector.
Telfer Young Ltd was engaged to conduct a market demand review of the various sectors within the study area, including an assessment of residential, compact living, lifestyle, rural, coastal and non-permanent housing demands.
MWH NZ Ltd was engaged to assess the issues, opportunities and constraints around infrastructure and services and their impact upon urban development.
Economic Solutions Ltd was engaged to complete an assessment of demographic and economic projections, as well as looking at retirement sector.
Wiki Design and Consultancy was engaged to assess and investigate the urban development aspirations of mana whenua.
